Check out a bunch of helpful links for 2025 at gregpak.link!

Woke up mad! So I folded the laundry, did the dishes, and added more helpful links to my gregpak.link old school directory page. Check it out!

This site started out as a joke. I saw that the gregpak.link URL was available for something like $9 a year, so I bought it on a whim (along with gregpak.fyi, which I’ve turned into my linktree replacement, and gregpak.vip, which I have no idea what to do with but it makes me laugh).

Then I found myself thinking about old school 1999-era web directories like Yahoo and Open Directory, which were incredibly simple and incredibly usable compared to the horrible popup and surveillance-cookie-filled monstrosities of 99 percent of modern websites. And I thought about the fact that social media encourages sharing of great resources in real time, but does very little for preservation and curation.

So here you go — a slew of helpful links for this terrible year in a bunch of different categories like “PUBLIC HEALTH INFO,” “BUY FOR GOOD CAUSES,” “BRANDS I ACTUALLY DIG,” “IMMIGRANT RESOURCES,” ‘HISTORY/ARCHIVES,” and “CALL YOUR REPS.” It’s not comprehensive; it’s idiosyncratic and personal and features orgs I’ve supported for a long time as well as new resources I’m finding in real time.

Hope you enjoy — and feel free to let me know if you make your own old school links page! Would love to see.
