Horrifyingly, Trump’s FDA is trying to “limit access to Covid-19 vaccines going forward to people 65 and older and others who are at high risk of becoming seriously ill if they are infected.” (You can read the StatNews article about this here.)
In my opinion, this is a sociopathic, nihilistic, anti-scientific policy that would result in the immiseration and death of thousands.

I have read that you’re planning to prevent people under 65 from getting new COVID vaccines. I am writing to demand you walk that decision back and allow anyone who wants to get COVID vaccines as we have been for the past four years. I got COVID in the first wave in New York City, before the vaccines, and I never want to get it again. Without the vaccines, COVID will spread more quickly and each infection will be more severe, with more people developing long COVID. If you deny us the right to make our own choices and get vaccinated, you will be responsible for the sickness and deaths of potentially thousands of people. You will also be responsible for destroying the economy and security of our country. Let us make our own choices and get the vaccines we want and need.
