In recent weeks, NYU Langone joined Mount Sinai in denying trans kids health care in New York City. New York Attorney General Tish James ordered Langone to resume health care for trans kids, which it has not. And now both James and Mayor Mamdani seem to be sitting on their hands, despite promising to protect trans kids.

I’m emailing to ask Letitia James to make good on her critique of NYU Langone and sue both Mount Sinai and NYU Langone to force them to obey the law and provide trans kids health care. Both the AG and the Mayor have dropped out of this fight and it’s unacceptable. The courtesy of a reply would be appreciated, thank you.
And here’s what I sent to Mayor Mamdani:
I’m emailing to ask Mayor Mamdani to make good on his promise to defend trans New Yorkers and (1) start levying maximum fines against Mount Sinai and NYU Langone to force them to obey the law and provide trans kids health care, and (2) direct New York City Health + Hospitals to begin providing trans kids health care to serve the kids denied care by these other hospitals. The Mayor has dropped out of this fight and it’s unacceptable. The courtesy of a reply would be appreciated, thank you.
