The AA4D says, “We will distribute funds raised through the AA4D project to organizations such as the Asian American Advocacy Fund in Georgia, API PA in Pennsylvania, Rising Voices in Michigan, APIA Nevada, and others to allow them to recruit and train door-knocking teams, set up multilingual phone banks, and mount digital ad campaigns.”
This feels exactly right to me.
They’re not throwing money at Biden or the DNC or whatever. They want to help get out APA voters, so they’re giving to proven, local APA groups like the Asian American Advocacy Fund in Georgia, which I volunteered for a bunch in 2020 and 2021.
And a lot of great and even legendary folks are involved in AA4D, including Eddie Wong, Dale Minami, Helen Zia, and Tamlyn Tomita.
Good folks, good groups. Excited!
