URGENT for NYC – register as a Democrat THIS WEEK to be able to vote Adams out in the June primary!

The City is reporting this morning that NYC Mayor Eric Adams has told his top commissioners “don’t criticize President Trump, don’t interfere with immigration enforcement and trust the mayor.”

This terrible mayor needs to go, but to have any say in the matter, NYC voters need to be registered as Democrats to vote in the June primary. As The City explains:

New York City has what are called “closed primaries,” which means that only members of the candidates’ political party can vote for which candidate should become the nominee. That means you have to be a registered Democrat to vote in the Democratic primary, and a Republican for that party’s primary.

It also means that if you registered to vote without a party — known to the Board of Elections as a “blank,” or independent — or if you are registered with the Working Families or Conservative parties, you won’t be able to vote in the June major-party primaries.

So please register or change your party enrollment online right here by February 14.

UPDATE 2/14/25 10:03 am ET: I just talked with a city employee at 1-866-VOTE-NYC and YES, you can still register today, 2/14 using this link – but DO NOT use the DMV registration system they mention there – the deadline for THAT system was 2/13. Instead, use the big blue “BEGIN REGISTRATION” button at the bottom of the page. The person advised registering before 5 pm to be safe! Do it, friends!

You can also hand-deliver an enrollment change to your local Board of Elections on February 14. But come on, let’s play it safe — do it online right now!
